Brandy gets trapped in the fire and Brody ends up rescuing her. In that vulnerable moment, consumed by fear, relief and heightened emotions, Brandy kisses Brody, an act that makes the two realize that there is something between them. Brandy uncharacteristically confesses her feelings to Brody but Brody politely rejects Brandy, telling her she deserves a better guy. Sammy returns and tries to convince Brandy to give him a shot. But Brandy turns him down. Sammy being the good guy looks for Brody and knocks some sense into him and tells him to go for it with Brandy.
