Christianity arrived in the Philippines together with Spanish colonization, but it became a fount for resistance against oppression.

Three and a half centuries after the first Easter Sunday Mass in what is now the Philippines, the martyrdom of Fathers Jose Burgos, Mariano Gomes, and Jacinto Zamora inspired Filipinos to seek freedom and nationhood.

To cap the sesquicentennial of the GOMBURZA’s martyrdom which was commemorated last year, we make available to the public this documentary about their life, death, and legacy.
