After a chance decision sends her home in a taxicab, Dorinda (Nora Aunor), a widowed judge, strikes up a friendship with the young and charming driver, Noah (Yul Servo), who’s overcome with respect for her profession. But soon enough, their fondness for each other results in love — and an unexpected surprise: At 47 years old, Dorinda becomes pregnant. Will her scandalous romance ruin her future?
This story of a May-December affair between a middle-aged judge and a young taxi driver brings to light society’s perceptions of gender, age, and class. Dorinda (Nora Aunor), a state prosecutor-turned-judge on the edge of a midlife crisis, feels completely alone. She has been a widow for years and her only son Dennis resides in the US with his wife. She always tells everyone she isn’t lonely–but she lives an empty existence. Some twist of fate has her meeting Noah (Yul Servo), a young taxi driver far from her socioeconomic background. The guy is in mourning after his father, after a cabbie, was killed by a holdup-gang robber. Dorinda is a menopausal judge; Noah is a virile 20-year-old. They don’t fit the equation, but that’s what makes their relationship exciting.
