The story of the rebuilding of their lives by the survivors of the disaster caused by Typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines, particularly focusing on the struggles of a mother who lost their children.
After the Supertyphoon Haiyan, which plunged the city of Tacloban in the Philippines into its horrendous state, the lives of Bebeth, Larry, and Erwin intertwine. The survivors are left to search for the dead while keeping their sanity intact and protecting what little faith might be left. A series of events continues to test their endurance.
Taklub is a story of three major characters–Bebeth, Larry, and Erwin–whose lives intertwine after Supertyphoon Haiyan left the city of Tacloban in a horrendous state. They search for the dead while trying desperately to keep their sanity intact, and to protect what little faith they have left. Bebeth (Nora Aunor) searches for the remains of her three children in the hopes that any identified records could match a DNA test from those buried at the mass grave. Larry (Julio Diaz) lost his wife and consoles himself by joining a group of devout Catholics carrying a life-size crucifix around the city. Erwin (Aaron Rivera) and his elder brother try to hide the truth of their parents’ deaths from their little sister. As if grieving for loved ones isn’t enough, a series of events, both man-made and natural, continues to test the characters’ endurance and leaves no time to wipe their bitter tears.
