The first season of Drag Race Philippines was officially announced on August 16, 2021. Casting opened that same day, with deadline of September 12, 2021. The show will air on Discovery+ in the Philippines and will also be available to all other countries on the online streaming service, WOW Presents Plus.

The second season of Drag Race Philippines premiered on August 2, 2023. The season will air on HBO Go in Philippines and WOW Presents Plus internationally. The season was confirmed, alongside Drag Race Philippines: Untucked!, by World of Wonder on October 19, 2022.
